Privacy Policy
Effective September 2, 2026
Momentum AI (“Momentum”, “we”, “us”) is a trend-radar tool for creators. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have. We collect the minimum needed to run the product and we never sell your data.
Information we collect
- Account data. When you sign up we store your email address and authentication credentials through our provider, Supabase. We use this to create and secure your account.
- Your watchlist. The public creators/channels you choose to monitor. For these, we read public channel and video statistics through the YouTube Data API. We do not access any private data of the creators you watch.
- Your connected TikTok account (optional). If you connect TikTok via TikTok Login Kit, we access only the scopes you authorize (basic profile info and your own video list) through the TikTok Display API. We use this solely to show you analytics for your own videos and comments. We never post on your behalf and never write content for you.
- Engagement snapshots. Over time we store public engagement metrics (views, likes, comments) for the posts we monitor, so we can measure momentum. This is public numeric data, kept as a time series.
- Usage data. Basic technical logs (e.g. errors, request timing) needed to operate and secure the service.
How we use your data
- To provide the core service: scoring momentum and surfacing trends.
- To generate AI summaries and format tags. Public captions and your own comment/video data may be sent to our AI provider (OpenRouter) for single-shot analysis. We do not use your data to train models.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To send you product notifications you've opted into (e.g. breakout alerts).
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers that make the product work: Supabase (database, auth, storage), Inngest (background jobs), and OpenRouter (AI processing). Each processes data only on our behalf. We may also disclose data if required by law.
TikTok data
Our use of information received from TikTok APIs adheres to the TikTok Developer Terms, including limits on use and transfer. TikTok data is used only to provide analytics on your own account to you. You can disconnect TikTok at any time, which revokes our access.
Data retention
We keep your account and monitored data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data and disconnect any linked accounts within 30 days, except where we must retain it to comply with law.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data, and withdraw consent for connected accounts, by contacting us at the address below. You may disconnect TikTok or remove watchlist items directly in the app at any time.
Security
Access is protected by authentication and row-level security so your data is isolated from other users. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Children
Momentum is not intended for anyone under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
